only wore shoes twice this trip. once on the treadmill & briefly during the wedding en Blanc ceremony. this was right before the Sri Lankan ceremony and just after my phone fell in the pool 🙃 which left me involuntarily unplugged for the remainder of the trip so I don’t have any more photos. however, being present was the best feeling!! i view being a wedding guest and a witness of a marriage as an incredible responsibility and honor. i am mentally still in Mexico💚🤍❤️ & grateful to the land we visited and the air and the water. they were incredibly generous & restorative. lucky is an understatement. #toSivaWithLOVE

listen. find your comfort. get uncomfortable. don’t kill an idea before it’s born. focus on solutions. refer to the past to inform the present. slow down. 🏳️

Food brings people together!
I had a chill day at St. Francis LA with Feeding America packing items for our community to enjoy this holiday season. If you’re interested in lending a hand this season, check out feedingamerica.org/holiday ❤️
These boxes were gorgeous! Well balanced with so many incredible donations. I was so happy we composted anything moldy or expired. I can highly recommend!
My mantra and lesson for the year has been “slow down” —my whole life really.. I just didn’t know it.
To slow down and enjoy slowing down, it helps to TAKE YOUR TIME (claim it & use it wisely; it’s yours). Plan ahead. Prepare. Give yourself the conditions TO BE ABLE TO slow down. 🤎🐌

war. what is it good for?
truly nothing? does it serve a purpose for humanity?
(this was the question posed in today’s service)
one thing is certain:
much of the human condition is to experience conflict
opposing forces are the nature of creation. we cannot have lightness without darkness, good without evil, thesis without antithesis. as the world turns we are constantly experiencing lightness and darkness. if there was only light, the world would be formless. light and shadow create shape. opposing forces create time, space, motion and all of the things we know in our physical world. shadow play is God’s work.
suffering is the prod of remembrance. it is how we are reminded of our eternal home and true nature.
we cannot erase one of these opposing forces. the two coexist as a part of creation as we know it. we make our dutiful efforts, but have a limited ability to change the outside world. we do, however, have an unlimited ability to change our inner world.
we must storm the inner citadels of anger, wrath and egotism. we do this by meditating.
1. don’t pick fights
2. choose your battles wisely & know when to walk away
3. go forward with love
4. win the inner battlefield of the mind and heart
remaining gentle and kind takes strength. above all, remain poised as you reign over your inner kingdom of peace.
