A brand new feel-good musical with music by the legendary pop duo Roxette with its world premiere at Malmö Opera in September 2024. An unforgettable rollercoaster ride filled with joy, spectacular numbers, up-tempo songs and power ballads. Tickets are now available.
With exceptional singers, dancers, epic set design and video, director Guy Unsworth and set designer David Woodhead build a world inspired by Roxette’s iconic music videos and the 90s fashion scene. In the heart of the story stands Stephanie, who discovers that her partner, Joe, is leading a double life with his girlfriend Katie. When Stephanie and Katie make contact one day, they decide to seek revenge together. The story is based on a novel by Jane Fallon.
The ensemble and Malmö Opera Orchestra, under the direction of Joakim Hallin, breathe new life into Roxette’s magnificent songs such as “IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOVE”, “LISTEN TO YOUR HEART”, “FADING LIKE A FLOWER”, “SPENDING MY TIME”, “DRESSED FOR SUCCESS” and “THE LOOK”. Roxette fans will have a new experience of the music they already love. For those who are not familiar listeners, the musical will be the ultimate introduction to the 90s reigning masters of cheerful up-tempo songs and heartfelt power ballads.

MERRY XMAS EVERYBODY!
Hey, hope you’re all doing good. This is crazy time of year for most of us but kinda fun at the same time, don’t you think?
I sincerely would like to thank you all for your neverending support throughout 2023. It’s been a busy one as always. Touring with GT (amazing!), recording a brand new solo album (in Swedish!) that will pop out next year and various other hilarious adventures like the GT movie Rox musical. I’m not complaining at all, I love it. And it’s all because of you! Thank you!
Since it’s xmas and giving is what it’s all about, I personally would like to give you a tiny xmas present you might enjoy. It’s a freshly mixed concert (by MP Persson! What a guy!) from the European Tour in 2018. It will available on all streaming services from Dec 22! The band at the time was, as always, mindblowing which I’m sure you’ll notice when you listen to the gig.
So, there it is. From me to you. Have a fab xmas and a most extraordinary new year. Stay safe sound and we’ll touch base in 2024!
