Märtha Louise Instagram – Wowowow!!! Thank you @ellenorge for awarding Hést “Business of the Year”!!! We are beyond proud and thankful. Hést means more to us than just a brand. I would love to share Hést’s story: It all started with a tragedy. My best friend, Esben Johannessen, died suddenly from pancreatic cancer in 2019. His wife @annebohagen and him had run the business together for years at the time of his death. He was a horse trainer, one of the best in Norway, and when he died, Anne Kari was left with two children, a farm, horses, dogs, no income and didn’t know where to turn. In her despair, she confided in her friend @monicautne who had had a dream since childhood of starting a fashion brand and suggested they start one together. Although none of them had experience in the field, Anne Kari said that it couldn’t get any worse than what it already was, let’s do it! They renamed Esben’s company and, to honor his legacy, called the brand Hést (hest means horse in Norwegian). As I was involved in Hést from the start supporting Anne Kari through the loss of her husband, I partnered up with the two wonderful ladies after a while. We are proud to be a women lead company who focuses on inclusion, equality and intuition. We hope that Hést can inspire others to dare dream big and put dreams into action however hard life may be. We thank everyone who has supported us and believed in us through the process. Thank you to our wonderful team at Hést. You are worth your weight in gold! Each and everyone of you are so special and are a big reason why Hést is such a success. Thank you to all the retailers (94 in Norway and 100 abroad) who have taken the chance on an unknown brand and made Hést who we are today. And last but not least, thank you to all of you who love our brand, who wear our sweaters and clothes, who support us and share your love with us. Esben, this one is to you!! ❤️❤️
