Mona Chalabi Instagram – I wanted to find out which members of Congress are profiting from the killing of people in Gaza. This was hard to do – the illustration shows all purchases and sales by current members of weapons stock where the deal was worth more than $1,000. But it only covers the period 2020-2023 and only includes five companies (Boeing, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon). This illustration also does not show the millions of dollars spent by these companies in campaign contributions to politicians in order to help secure future contracts. There’s a wide range here because representatives don’t have to disclose the specific amount of their trading, they instead state an estimate and that’s what gets published in the record.  Source: US House Financial Disclosure Form
