ChelseaBoy Instagram – GLADIATOR LOOK FOR RUPAUL’S DRAG CON – MAKING OF STORYTIME:
On a rainy day in November, Jacob, Daphne, Venus and I went to the costume sale of the National Opera & Ballet. It was complete madness as everyone wanted those special extravagant pieces. As we walked in I immediately had my eye on this red costume and knew I had to get it. Low & behold I found it right away and snatched her!
She was looking a little bit butch for my taste, so @jacobleole and I reimagined the look together. Taking out a lot of excess material, Jacob opened up the shoulder line, sizing the skirt in half, and finally I added about 15.000 rhinestones to the breastplate. I knew the look would need some sexy long blonde hair to give her that modern edge, created by @roseesheneeplastique . Added some crazy sharp nails by @samu.el and wrapped my leg in the most racy lace I could find. & BAM! There was my Pink Carpet look for @rupaulsdragcon UK 2024. A big thank you to @daphne_karstens_wearable_art for assisting me fabulously during the entire weekend.
