Chris Burkard Instagram – There’s something about the full exposure & vulnerability of sitting on a bike… feeling the open air while surrounded by the fingertips of glaciers and green, mossy peaks meeting black sand. Last fall during a shoot for @ubcobikes we decided that pushing the bike in a rougher environment, true to Iceland’s nature, felt like the best way to test its capabilities over the course of a few days. Despite some black sand, boulders, & pretty wet conditions, the bikes performed well and made for a super fun way to access the terrain near the Katla Glacier.
