This summer I finished off a property development (making sure it could accommodate for a disabled homeowner) one road away from my house and then I stayed at home storing up vital energy in preparation for the second half of the year for when my documentary. #DavidHolmesTheBoyWhoLived. The weather this summer wasn’t the best, but on a few good days I made the most of my beautiful garden and created memories with loved ones in the place I call home. #LeighOnSea making sure I never missed the sunset, ate healthy food and worked hard on my body and my mind with physiotherapy and positive reinforcement. I also treated myself to a new car which I took delivery of on my birthday and drove it up north with a new kitten to someone very special. The summer ended as it usually does with the annual David Holmes cricket cup where my friends and family gather to play a game of cricket and raise some money for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. #Rnoh #Self-Care #CharityWork #HomeIsWhereTheHeartIs #RangeRover set

Autumn continues In November, I flew to New York and premiered the film at the New York documentary festival . Thankfully, the strike ended and I was able to do some of the promotional work with one of my best mates Dan. Navigating the press attention was a challenge, and I had to do so, whilst also taking care of my body whilst it goes through another change. New York was mind blowing an upgrade @thedominickhotel gave me one of the best views of my life. I ate great food caught up with some old friends and drove through Central Park whilst listening to Frank Sinatra and John Lennon with a bit of hip-hop and Fred again thrown in.

Autumn begins with the first screening of my documentary #DavidHolmesTheBoyWhoLived. It was for friends and family. The people I love the most whose opinion matters to me the most. I gave a speech at the beginning of the film, telling people in the room, who all love me to being, how much they mean to me. After my speech as an introduction, I had a lovely meal with friends and crew from the documentary and even got to meet the exceptionally talented and wonderful @pascalispunk. I still haven’t seen the documentary because I’m not ready to look backwards just yet, but the opinions of my loved ones re-confirmed that I was about to set off on a rollercoaster. I also had autumn with the soundtrack of the albums #Folklore and #Evermore by @taylorswift as well as so much amazing music and art that helped me get through What was a turbulent time.
