Ed Westwick Instagram – Turning our dream home into reality: here’s our 9 month home renovation journey. The real hard work came from our amazing team of builders, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, tilers – thankyou guys, we would’ve been lost without you 💪🏼 ! We were adamant about knocking down walls from the get-go to create an open plan living space but midway Darren, our builder gave us the idea of knocking right through to the garage and opening the entire floor plan up… so that’s what we did! We threw in some arches, popped in new windows and ensured sustainable material choices were at the top of our agenda. We were after rustic-modern countryside feel. The limewash technique brought a natural element indoors and the colour was specially curated by the eco friendly yet super luxurious @kalklitir – a beautiful family run business in France which prides itself on sustainability. The art, from my favourite @maddoxgallery gave the room a real burst of life – Jay and his team are the BEST!! Then we finished it off with the warmth of rich @v4woodflooring which elevated the whole room. The first six months was spent sitting on boxes and making dens on the floor whilst we waited for the furniture to be made, but eventually we got the goods! We fell in love with the effortless chic of @coxandcox linen sofas and everything else lead on from there. Our dream home is now a reality. 🏡✨ * Do you ever stop tweaking your home though?
