Back in April, our French Bulldog, Meat, died. He lived a very long life (14 and a half years) and his last years were filled with adventure and fun. Nevertheless his passing hurt. It hurt a lot. Life must go on, however, and it did, but there was a hole in our hearts that needed nourishing. There is no replacing Meatboi, but Natalie and I have opened a new chapter in our lives, in a few ways, and this little chap is one of them! This is Baggins! Kal is being a rather tropey grumpy old man, and Baggins is ever enthusiastic to make friends. Baggins is a little wonder and also a little terror, just as puppies should be, and he is indeed nourishing our hearts.

Next Sunday is the official day, at long last, for The Durrell Challenge! For those running it virtually, it can be done on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday! Whichever day you choose, we’ll all be doing it for the greater good of our planet, and all the species living on it.
Speaking of the virtual run, to protect the health and the jobs of my fellow cast and crew here on The Witcher, I’ve decided to err on the side of caution and stay local to do my very own Durrell Challenge, rather than travel to Jersey. Saturday will be my day! Which day is yours?

Personally, It’s been tough for me to fit runs in of late, but I’m upping my post weights cardio during the wee hours to get some extra conditioning in!

A little something for you all during the warm up to the Durrell Challenge. Now, I’m fairly sure that some of the lines in this video are scripted, although I actually have met a child who fancied eating slugs….not saying it was James Haskell, but it might have been. Regardless of some questionable life choices for humans, this is indeed heart warming and also a little sad. In truth, it shows how important Durrell really is. These are just some of the species that Durrell is working incredibly hard to help survive looming extinction. I know that I don’t want the little gems in that video to be the last ones when they grow up, which is why I do what I do. If you want to have a go too, we have the Durrell Challenge coming up.
