A lot of people are apparently having a hard time getting tickets for our final shows and reaching out to ask why we don’t extend when the show is a giant hit? The truth is we always wanted this to be a 20 week limited run. And while we were asked multiple times to extend, it felt best to go out the way we intended. But, dreams never die and perhaps one day those of you who didn’t get to see or hear it will have a chance in another form. Until then, keep eating dreams! @gutenbergbway
And then there were two. What a magical run . I have never worked with a creative team & a crew this special. From our brilliant @alextimbers who directed this w/ the creative ingenuity that only he could, to our insane writers @theanthonyking & @scottabridged who have been feeding dreams with this piece since 2004 to our ingenious choreographer @nancyreneebraun and our AD @ianunterman . Our incredible set designed by the incomparable @scottpaskstudio to our remarkable lighting & sound by @jeffcroiter and Cody Spencer and M.L. Dogg. Our amazing producers, without whom none of this could’ve happened, @jjabramsofficial @beecarrozzini @patrickt77 Elizabeth Rothman, Kristen Caskey, & our many others. I also could not have done this without the vocal guidance of my singing muse @lizcaplan and the body work of @mollyokerns along with my incredible team of PT specialists led by Rachel and Kat.
And then there are the folks who come to the Jones Theater & make it happen every day starting with our incredible Stage Managers @rachelsterner and @mckmurphy along with their incredible team of dressers, technicians, prop handlers, sound, lighten crew, ushers, & security. In particular a special shout out to @nativegardenknits 4 getting me dressed & making me laugh my ass off. And of course the folks who do EVERYTHING to make our show a hit at 321 Management, under the guidance of the two most remarkable leaders in the theater world @joyinthecity and @westinhicks
And finally there are the folks I get to take the stage with and those that ensure the show goes on if we can’t take the stage. I feel blessed to have the two most talented, standbys in the universe: @samfred88 and @russelljdaniels . And of course the greatest band this side of NJ: @mrpagoo @parkmujin and @dobson321 under music direction by the brilliant T..O. Sterrett.
But there is no @gutenbergbway without my co-Star and brother @andrewrannells without whom I wouldn’t have come back and done this crazy love letter to dreamers everywhere. You will always be my fellow Mormon missionary, and now my fellow dreamer. I cannot wait to see what the world has in store for us next. Love you.
