Justin Long Instagram – I loved playing Henry Waters in IT’S A WONDERFUL KNIFE so much that, even when I wasn’t shooting, I’d FaceTime friends and family as Henry. If they didn’t answer, I’d make these videos to send. I was originally inspired by Joel Osteen sermons but, at some point, a sprinkling of Bill Clinton found it’s way in and, in the end, I realized part of my joy was that this sinister character had gotten weirdly close to Dorothy Michaels from one of my favorite movies ever made, TOOTSIE. I can’t thank my GOOSEBUMPS hmu ladies @zabrinamakeup and @kristahannartistry enough for helping w Henry’s lewk (I was inspired by bullies from 80’s movies like the great @thetedmcginley) – applied beautifully by @mielenageartistry. And I LOVED finally getting to work with my hilarious pal @joelmchale and to meet new talented pals like @officialjanewiddop who stars in the movie. Thanks to director @ty.macintyre for giving me so much room to play with an already fun wild script (written by, no stranger to fun wild scripts, @michaeltjkennedy).
