Kevin Smith Instagram – This is what Christmas at 21 Jackson Street in Highlands, NJ looked like 40 years ago, waaaay back in 1983. My sister @virginia_in_vienna made personalized trash cans for me and my brother Donald that year, each covered with collages featuring images of our favorite movies, tv shows and things. I still have mine, though the collage has slipped from its Elmer’s Glue prison and exists apart from the plastic trash can. The tree was artificial and sat in a rotating base that my Mom bought at a Bradlee’s after-Christmas sale in 1978. We had no fireplace so stockings were hung on the wall.
