“At a time of increasingly tragic conflict around the World, I pray that we can also do all in our power to protect each other. The words of Jesus seem more than ever relevant: ‘do to others as you would have them do to you.’ Such values are universal, drawing together our Abrahamic family of religions, and other belief systems, across the Commonwealth and wider world. They remind us to imagine ourselves in the shoes of our neighbours, and to seek their good as we would our own.”
📺 Today, in his annual Christmas Broadcast, His Majesty has spoken of compassion for others. Watch the broadcast in full on YouTube – link in bio.
🎄 The King is pictured in the Centre Room at Buckingham Palace during the filming of this year’s Christmas Broadcast.
The Centre Room opens onto the Buckingham Palace balcony and overlooks The Victoria Memorial and The Mall, where crowds gathered to celebrate The Coronation in May.

Last week, The Queen was delighted to be joined by 7 year-old Olivia and family for a special Christmas tea at Windsor Castle. 🎄☕️
🧸 Olivia’s Coronation teddy bear Corrie, who travels with her everywhere, was a guest of honour.
At 17-months-old, Olivia was diagnosed with a large brain tumour, causing permanent blindness. Since her diagnosis, Olivia has been receiving regular treatment, including chemotherapy. However, none of this has curbed her infectious enthusiasm or love of singing.
🎵🎶 Along with the Bexley Music Primary Choir, Olivia performed a carol as part of His Majesty’s Christmas Broadcast.
Happy Christmas Olivia – and thank you for all the joy you bring! ♥️
