Watched some news on the plane yesterday, and the word is that Dems are gonna shift their election strategy away from “Bidenomics” towards protecting abortion rights.
Everyone knows that Republicans want to block access to abortions. So Democrats are left to protect these rights, right?
WRONG!
While they talk a good game, here’s the Dem track record showing that again and again, they campaigned, as they are doing now, on codifying Roe. Yet in 50 years, they never codified it when they had majorities in the House and Senate. Both Obama and Biden promised to codify it and then did nothing. What an awful position to put women in. Yes, Dems are better on this issue in terms of campaign rhetoric than Republicans. Yet when they win, they don’t get the job done. Women are Dems’ largest voting base. If you don’t protect their rights, what is your actual function? Raising money on their fears of Republicans and abortion access so Dems can win again and do nothing again?
As campaign mode Joe said in 2020, vote for him and “Nothing will fundamentally change.”
If Palestinians or their supporters say “From the river to the sea” they’re deemed racists who seek to exterminate all Jews. Is it also racist vs Palestinians when Netanyahu says it?
Only the identity politics-obsessed hacks at the “liberal” NY Times could try to put a positive spin on genocide in Gaza by claiming that women are now helping to murder 24,000 Palestinians. And that’s a plus? Werk! We have inclusive murderers now!

NY Times, spare us your devious and wrongheaded girl boss crap. You don’t dress up genocide, which Israel is now on trial for in the world’s highest court, by saying that females are now accepted as land thieves and genociders amongst their ranks, too. I’m not saying that women being allowed to fight in Israel’s army isn’t an advance for the Israeli army—it is, if that’s what Israeli women want. But this “triumph” is attempting to sugarcoat genocide. That’s less of a victory for women—and more of a defeat for humanity.

Barbra Streisand, a tremendously gifted singer and actress, has no idea what she’s talking about in this tweet. Climate change? Yes, it’s a big problem. But her answer to the problem is voting for Joe Biden, who has approved more drilling than Trump. Why doesn’t Barbra know this? She’s not dumb–so why is she spouting fake news? Is she an MSDNC viewer, ie one of the Dems who only focus on Trump and never mention their own party’s failings? Or is she paid to share this kind of stuff and deceive her followers?
PS: This isn’t an attempt to sell you on Trump or Biden. They both want to drill more and destroy the planet. Any vote for them is a vote for climate chaos. This is why it’s essential the media to keep quiet about the progressive Dems like Marianne Williamson or Cenk Ugyur, and 3rd party candidates who want alternatives to fossil fuels, and who don’t have Trump or Biden’s record of corruption and lying. If Babs were honest, and truly cared about the damages from climate change, she would’ve recommended one of the progressives, or at least publicly urged Biden to curb his greed for oil. But Barbra would rather offer the problem as the solution. Pretty dark stuff if it wasn’t so infantile. The truth isn’t what you want it to be, and both Trump and Biden have bad records on new drilling. I don’t see how you are concerned with the planet’s biggest issue if you’re voting for either.
NY Times shamelessly soft-pedaling war again. So instead of killing 10,000 Palestinian kids Israel is now only killing 5,000–as 80% of the country wants a ceasefire. This whole conflict has been a mask-off moment for legacy media. I salute the young people who are abandoning it. My generation seems to have zero media literacy. If it’s in print, especially if it’s in The NY Times, they believe it.
Columbia students and faculty held a pro-Palestinian rally last week. Two students, who were also former Israeli soldiers, wore fake keffiyehs and sprayed skunk water on the group.
Because Zionists think they’re the chosen people who can get away with genocide, apartheid, torture, illegal weapons, etc, as they steal land, they seem to think they’re above the law–and that anyone who wants to stop genocide is a terrorist. This, they apparently think, warrants the use of a controversial crowd control method like skunk water which has also been used in Israel on Palestinians. This is a frightening way for Israelis them to bring their violent, entitled worldview to this country, and the immoral IDF trains US police forces with similar techniques. Because most of our media underplays Israeli’s racism and land theft so that both parties can keep financing it, this story has only appeared on WSWS.org and the Columbia school paper.

Almost all billionaire-owned mainstream media is war propaganda. 6 billionaires own 90% of mainstream media. In a mind-numbing display to buffer Israel from awful headlines, they write about a Palestinian who WAS KILLED. Passive voice to obscure the shooter. By whom? Whose bullet FOUND IT’S WAY to him? The bullet was fired by an Israeli soldier. NY Times will tell you about the victim’s hobbies, playing ball, etc without naming his killer in the headline. The “paper of record” and the Bible of liberals is whitewashing Israel’s genocide.
I’ve provided many examples of western media slanting their language in this manner to deceive. I hope that some will realize that “legacy media” like The NY Times often twist the truth. Funny how the side they twist it to always wants more war, less compassion. I subscribe to it and enjoy some articles in this paper, but would never trust their political analysis—especially on foreign policy. Please remember that The NY Times apologized to its readers for not asking harder questions of the George W. Bush administration in the lead-up to the Iraq war. They also helped muddy the waters on the weapons of mass destruction which Saddam Hussein allegedly had, which was used as justification for killing him and occupying Iraq for around 20 years.

Remember at the beginning of the pandemic there was a crisis due to too few hospital beds? And sometimes nurses?
Did Trump or Biden build new wards so that this grim situation would be rectified? No, both are Covid minimizers. Getting new ICU beds would’ve been a priority to anyone who cared about Americans’ health. In other words, unless you fix a problem, that problem still exists. Although not for our corrupt and dishonest ruling class. They get top of the line care for free if they’re in government.
Is this a real campaign ad for Biden? If you’ll recall, his first ad sought to make him look like a youthful and vigorous hero protecting Ukraine. The war that we’re helping Ukraine lose? The war NATO scuttled peace talks early on so that 500,000 Ukrainians could die needlessly? I don’t know who that ad was meant to appeal to, exactly. But there’s a new ad….
In this one, Biden doesn’t even appear except in a photograph at the end. Most of it is Nicki Haley and clips of Trump getting confused. This is the kind of negative ad you put out when you have few accomplishments in the last 3 years m to brag about.
And what sort of person is this meant to appeal to? Someone who cares about no policies except hating Trump? (Sadly, that’s half of the Dem party.) And I guess it’s geared to those who are too blind to see that Biden is the guy who regularly gets confused and struggles to speak. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! Biden actually has the nerve to accuse Trump of what he’s guilty of? Sounds like the ludicrous accusations of the IDF, which regularly accuse Hamas of the same horrors which they themselves commit.
Billions will be spent on this campaign—for mind rot like this? Democrats tend to be more college-educated than Republicans, so who is this ignorant nonsense geared to? I guess the same gullible types who believe that Biden’s senility is a stutter. “Trump’s senile, too!” Is a juvenile schoolyard taunt.
My other issue with this ad is that it casts the vile Nicki Haley as someone trustworthy. Good idea, Biden! Elevate the dangerous candidate like Hillary’s campaign foolishly elevated Trump. How did that work out in 2016?
What would make a better ad? Almost anything! But why not try this angle? Trump and his 2016 victory were attributed to “right-wing populism.” Yet Trump won and cut taxes on the wealthiest—that’s the opposite of populism. Hot on that clear hypocrisy which undermines the root of his appeal. But I guess corporate Dems like Biden don’t mind tax cuts on the wealthy because they also want to repay the wealthy donors without whom Trump or Biden could never win.
Swing state voters are essential to win, and Biden threw away the swing state of Michigan. There’s a large Arab population, but Biden was paid $4 million over the years to be Israel’s bitch. Corporate politicians work for corporations, not voters.
And why should Arab supporters of Palestine vote for a president who’s killed 24,000 of their brethren in 3 months? I’ve seen quite a few Dem operatives arguing that not supporting Biden will elect Trump, who instituted a muslim ban while president. The most common response is “I’m not voting for either.” This is why we see Jill Stein polling at 6% in Michigan. Liz Cheney, who Whoopi recently begged on air to run 3rd party, is polling at 8% without even declaring her run.
I’m amazed that I don’t hear any/many democrats demanding that Biden step down. I can’t predict elections, but Dems wouldn’t run an old, senile liar who is enabling a genocide and skipped over most of his 2020 promises and expect to win. Democrats love to talk about “saving democracy” and say (again) that “this is the most important election ever.” Oh, so THAT’s the election you run someone who has trouble speaking, who 72% of voters don’t want to run? The same percentage doesn’t want Trump to run again, either. Sounds like a recipe for low voter turnout.

Israeli official wants to put Palestinians on an artificial island off the coast of Gaza. So kill tens of thousands of Palestinians and cause many more to flee. Destroy their homes in Gaza. Give them designated escape routes and then bomb those. Bomb them and the patients as they shelter in hospitals. And then stick them on an island while Israel steals more of their land? Don’t tell me—will Israel be controlling the food, water and fuel on this island, too?
