Michael D. Cohen Instagram – I have lived in Israel – I was on a kibbutz for a year, and my grandparents lived there most of their lives – they were holocaust survivors who fled Germany and Poland. I have family and friends in Israel. So of course I’m horrified, saddened, and am scared for their safety. Most of my family and friends there are sympathetic to the Palestinians and don’t support the current Israeli government’s policy. The people of Israel and Palestine are victims of violence. They need compassion and protection. People are in deep pain and enduring traumas that will be there the rest of their lives. Right now is not a time to debate politics. It is way too painful.
