Rodney Mullen Instagram – What drew me to skating only grew stronger by going after it with all I had. Somehow I knew that, even as a kid. Decades later, it’s given me more than I ever dreamed and made me who I am. Doing what we love nurtures and hones whatever called us to it, in the first place. I see this in the friends I admire most, in whatever they do. Many are skaters, some hackers, yet for whatever reason, a few are SEALs. More skate than you might think; one was Charlie Keating, who was killed by doing what he was called to do today, seven years ago. I never knew him, though his family has become like family, some of the noblest people I know. Their pain and loss have refined that nobility through helping their community manage the crazy toll that path takes, which benefits us all.
