Takashi Murakami Instagram – In memory of Kishin Shinoyama sensei: Mr. Kishin Shinoyama was a photographer who crafted the image of Japan, dashing through the country’s cultural genesis that occurred during its high growth period through the era of the so-called bubble economy. I have had the privilege of being photographed by him several times, and he kindly contributed his work in an exhibition I have curated. We shall see how much of Mr. Shinoyama’s vast accomplishments will be historicized in the world of Japanese art. Sensei, please enjoy observing the development from where you are in the world beyond! He was a tremendous commercial photographer who cut through the ages in Japan.
