It’s impossible to imagine Hollywood without writers. You’d need a writer to describe it. Photo taken by @j.w.hendricks
I was in New York a few weeks ago doing a gig for Woody Creek Distillers and I sat down with Clay Risen at Ploume to talk about all things Whiskey. Clay has written a wonderful book about Rye whiskey that I thoroughly enjoyed, especially the history of the spirit. I was there with all my pals from Woody Creek Distillery and we had a rockin’ time of it. Saw some plays and had a gas in the big Apple. I was also interviewed by Adam Morganstern for Forbes.com. He later documented my impromptu ukulele performance in Times Square. @woodycreekdistillers @ploumebar @adammorganstern

Do you folks know about Homeless Not Toothless? The fellow on the left is Dr. Jay Grossman, my Dentist. He treats Homeless folks for free. It changes their lives. Ms. Stone has been supporting the organization for years. Giving Tuesday is coming up so please consider helping. Happy Holidays everyone.
Viva Las Vegas!!!
Hey folks, this is the film I did last spring. Check it out, it opens today. It’s all about marriage and love and it’s really sweet.
I’m finally cleaning out my closet. Happy Spring.
We’re a week into 2024 and I’ve been reflecting on 2023. This past year I met three people who had a powerful effect on me. Last February I saw Dave Chapelle and what was so very present for me was that I was in the presence of genius. He had the audience in the palm of his hand, and he played us like a Stradivarius. He is a masterful story teller and his comedy is stunningly brave and honest. I know he’s drawn a lot of heat for his comedy but what I saw was a performer filled with love of the human condition and an absolutely original take on the world. Last summer I saw Annaleigh Ashford in SWEENEY TODD on Broadway and it was one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen. She is absolutely comfortable on stage. Her performance was big and filled the theater, and yet she is a master of stillness. In one scene she was knitting a scarf while talking with a young actor and every once in a while, breaking into song. At a point, she noticed that she had dropped a stitch and she pulled the yarn out until the offending spot, and then resumed knitting. She did this while acting and singing SWEENEY TODD on Broadway. That, my friends, is what they call “chops”. Finally, I saw Michelangelo’s David. We spent most of the day in the Gallery Accademia and I know he’s made out of marble, but I swear his expression changed and I could see him breathing. It was the most divine work of art I’ve ever seen.

Hello all, I’m going to co-host the Big and Tall Comedy Tour which is sponsored by Homeless Not Toothless on April 22nd from 8:00 to 9:30pm. Homeless Not Toothless is an organization started by my dentist, Dr. Jay Grossman many years ago (‘92) to help homeless folks with an emphasis on Veterans. Jay does all their dental work for free and along with his fellow dentists, the organization has served more than a hundred thousand people so far. Sharon Stone has been with the organization since the beginning and I started working with them ten years ago. The Big and Tall Tour features Big Ern and Mike Bova and it’s going to be hysterical. Dorit Kemsley is also hosting so she, Ms. Stone, and I will be there for a meet and greet before the event starts. If you’re up for a great laugh and if you want to do some good for our Vets, come by and say hello. Link for tickets in my bio! Where: Hollywood Legion Theater (a very cool venue) 2035 N. Highland Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90068 When: April 22nd, 8:00 – 9:30pm Who: @sharonstone @doritkemsley @jay.grossman @hntorg @bigandtallcomedy @hollywoodpost43
Love Libertine Social! Thank you Tony @mdrnmixologist
I’m in New York with my magnificent wife and two perfect daughters, for which I am so thankful. I’ve seen two plays while here, “Topdog/Underdog” at the Golden Theater, and “A Strange Loop” at the Lyceum Theater. I’m so proud to be in show biz, and a member of the theater community. I’m filled with thankfulness. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Love, Bill.

Hey, Woody Creek Gin was named one of the ten best gins to have in every home bar by Food and Wine magazine. It’s very flattering, although completely correct. Woody Creek Gin is the most delicious Gin I’ve ever tasted. If you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor. I’m a G&T guy, but it’s delicious any way you want to drink it. Link in bio. Raise a glass for me. Bill
This woman is amazing! You have to watch this! Vote daily (I’m sure going to) for A New Way of Life founder Ms. Susan Burton as National Honoree of the L’Oréal Paris #WomenofWorth Voting link in bio!
Logline: “The inspiring true story of the youngest woman ever to argue a case in the Supreme Court, and the reluctant Justice who finds the courage to take a stand. Together, they create one of the defining moments in American history.” Hey, folks. I recorded this podcast a few months ago and the first three episodes are available now (iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc). It’s a fascinating look at how the Supreme Court works. Check it out. All the best, Bill.
