Learnt so much about Oman in ONE day! 😊 (we = me @julian_boes_ ) Unfortunately I cannot reveal the exact location of this paradise mainly because I don’t believe in risking a place that’s this beautifully unreal with over-tourism or pollution… I hope you understand and support this opinion!!🫶 HOWEVER! Just reach out to the wadi expert @mohammed_alhadi87 and trust me there’s NO BETTER guide for Muscat than him. He’ll take you to the most hidden locations around Muscat 🙂 and ensure you leave them cleaner & prettier 🙂 These sulphur pools are naturally occurring hidden in the crevices of these sharp-stoned mountains! A swim here can help you heal skin conditions and joint/ muscle pains. The extremely unique colour of the water is the first thing that strikes you – and this electric greenish blue is apparently due to the naturally high sulphur content of the water which could be coming from the the rocks in this particular area!! Nature is just so 🤯🤯🤯 So coming to the MAIN part: there are well-known sulphur pools that you can visit, but if you want to reach this particular spot, you DEFINITELY need a local to take you here as it takes some offroading, short walk to get to!! SHARE the inspiring story of Kerala’s chess village!!💯 Marottichal is a quaint beautiful village located in the Thrissur district of Kerala which is famous for its waterfalls but today I’m talking about why it’s a CHESS haven where this game literally saved lives of the people of this village😲 A tea shop owner, C. Unnikrishnan introduced chess to the people of Marottichal that were battling alcohol addiction as a way to distract them and give a wholesome and constructive alternative to their problem. This slowly turned the entire identity of the village and today it holds an Asian record of 1000 people playing chess at the same time!! This is the BEST example of “when life gives you lemons…” you break the Asian record with them🎖 Unni never wanted to change the whole village, he just wanted to spread his passion that set a butterfly effect. HAVE YOU EVER EATEN A KERALA SADHYA?😋 This ultimate 24-dish feast is served on a GIANT banana leaf!🌿 When we explored Kerala with @highontripsbyrg , they made sure that we tried a sadhya meal everywhere we went! From a local family’s house to the houseboat we were staying at and it was all so gooood🤤 This feast isn’t just a meal; it’s the heart of Kerala’s celebrations ❤️ Traditionally prepared for the harvest festival of Onam in Kerala, when the mythical King Mahabali visits the homes of his people to see whether they are happy or not, and so to honour his visit, the people of Kerala prepare a grand meal and celebrate the occasion! Interestingly, the number of dishes served is said to reflect the wealth and prosperity of the host! In fact, the payasam (dessert) is the most luxurious item on the leaf and so the variety of payasams served is directly proportional to one’s social status!! This feast isn’t just about the incredible flavours and textures; it’s about the unity it represents! Sadya brings people together, breaking barriers, and fostering a sense of belonging and community🫂 I highly recommend you to experience yours at a local homestay or during temple festivals. LET GO of the weight of that makeup box!✨ It just doesn’t sit right with me when companies advertise make-up as “beauty” products! Beauty is NOT so surface-level!! It also doesn’t sit right with me that as a woman i almost “have” to take longer to get ready and spend more money as compared to (most) men. Please don’t get me wrong – This is not a diss video for any make-up artists or creators cause I DON’T HATE MAKE-UP. I still wear it myself and enjoy it! I just HATE it when people use it or talk about it like a BEAUTY ENHANCER or a non-negotiable to get ready❌ We’ve been desensitized to believe that we are incomplete without makeup. In fact, I just read a survey which said that – 👉🏽 57% of the women said they’d rather ditch their date than go out without makeup 👉🏽 2 out of 5 women said they use more makeup to cover up the damage caused by makeup And there was a time where I felt it too! I wouldn’t create videos without make-up or use filters for almost all of my IG stories, i was even told on shoots to cover my facial hair and dark spots with makeup as a NON negotiable. All I’m saying is that makeup should be and is a CHOICE. It’s art; an expression of you; a choice because you like to play around with it. You DON’T NEED it. You are beautiful the way you are. You can go for dates, meetings, holidays, and conquer the world without makeup or with makeup!💖 This is not a new/revolutionary thought, but the more we normalise it, the better it gets! right? I love how every part of India has a different way of dressing which represents their culture. This elegant saree, typically white or cream with a stunning golden border, perfectly captures the simplicity and grace of Keralite traditions. The golden border reminds you of Kerala’s gorgeous beaches, and the serene white base, the state’s peaceful essence. Each saree is handwoven, and some go upto 10 lakhs 🤪 Wearing it was more than just dressing up; it felt like embracing and celebrating Kerala’s heritage and its warm, welcoming community.💜 Big shoutout to mom for tying the saree! Let’s make someone smile today 💜 My mom always wanted to stay in a houseboat so when I finally took her there to help her tick off an item from her bucket-list she had the warmest biggest smile on her face which literally was the best memory of 2023 for me. Everything I do and have done seemed worth it just to see her so happy and relaxed ❤️ The houseboats of Alleppey are truly a serene, relaxing and once in a lifetime experience! You need to visit PETRA, Jordan 🥹 Jordan has a simple Evisa & a flight via Sharjah! This country should be on your 2024 travel list – it’s offbeat, stunning and culture wise very very interesting! One of my fav trips of 2023 because this 7000 year old masterpiece of a city will humble them!! PETRA in Jordan is one of the 7 wonders of the world and for good reason as the ENTIRE CITY has been CARVED by HAND by the early humans! It is also known as the “Rose city” due to the beautiful reddish-pink colour of the sandstone🏜 No one else except the bedouins is allowed to stay there but luckily there’s 1 airbnb run by a bedouins that’s literally a cave. I stayed there and it was magical through the night! Being in this place literally transcends you into another timezone.. like you’re living in a historical adventure movie. The best time to visit the desert marvel is March-May or Sept-Nov. Do NOT miss the Petra by night light show!! It ONLY occurs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 pm until 10:30 pm each week so make sure to go on one of these days! This is the BEST time to visit this country of beautiful waterfalls😍 10 days is a good enough time to cover Philippines and if you follow this itinerary you will not be disappointed ✅ You can obviously customise it and explore other different parts like Boracay, Bohol, Banaue Rice Terraces, etc depending on your choice and time out there! Oman looks like this?!! ❤️ Salalah is the REAL hidden gem – white sand beaches, electric blue waterfalls, and the best vibes in Oman. I can’t believe most people don’t know about it?! Hell I didn’t know about it until I started researching about Oman😲 So thankful for @salalah_adventure_tours for helping me explore this beautiful place! Day 2 was even more epic na?!😍 After an amazing day 1 in Salalah with @naseeb_bir.amerr we knew that day 2 toh usse bhi awesome hoga and we were SO happy that we made the right choice by exploring with @salalah_adventure_tours !!
