Aida Rodríguez Instagram – Legitimate Kid covers many areas of my life, but one of the biggest themes that drove me was not having my father present. I really wanted to explore how being called “illegitimate” affected me. it is a wound that many of us share in common, and can be something that we carry around throughout our lives. I wanted to release this and get beyond it. When @gayleking walked into my dressing room, her book was adorned with what appeared to be more used sticky notes than the several packs I have sitting on my desk. She had the questions that someone who not only read my book had, but spoke to me like someone who really felt my story.
