I think about this scene often when I think of the confluence of great writing, directing and editing. And we were really dialed in too. Our scenes we always paced slower then the rest of the show and we all leaned into it. To me, so much of who Angela was happened in the spaces between the dialogue. The moments of searching and uncertainty – that’s when she came alive for me.

This is a park near the east river, where I grew up. There used to be a sand box and I remember other children would put sand in the Boars mouth and nose and I would always go clean it out to make sure he could breathe. That’s the end of the story. A lesser known EXITMUSIC song that I’m still really proud of is called ‘The Wanting’ and it’s quite simple in its structure. Mostly a atmospheric drone that builds with intensity and vocals. BUT what’s so meaningful to me about it is that I had just found all these NASA-Voyager recordings from space and we layered them into the track. Electromagnetic “voices” made up of charged particles from the solar winds and planetary magnetosphere. It’s especially meaningful as the lyrics speak about letting go, of releasing something not meant for you back into the unknown. Hope you give it a listen wherever you listen to things.
