Anjulie Persaud Instagram – At the beginning of my music career I used to get this feeling when an artist would cut my song, or I’d hear it on the radio, or a record label would be interested something I’d written that I can only describe as a high. I desperately chased that high for a long time because it was tied to my self esteem and those hits of validation felt addictive, even euphoric. After a couple rock bottoms and a boat load of therapy I realized I needed to have a healthier relationship with the process of making music. I pulled out notebooks and dusted off my acoustic guitar and rediscovered why I started doing this in the first place. The process has been really healing and I’m so grateful to everyone who has been on this journey with me 🙏🏽🫶🏾
