Aya Samaha Instagram – مرض البوليميا هو اضطراب في الأكل يتميز بنمط مرضي من الأكل المفرط والتخلص من الطعام بواسطة القيء أو استخدام المليّنات أو ممارسة التمارين الرياضية المفرطة. يعاني المصابون بالبوليميا من وجود صورة سلبية للجسم وقلق مفرط بشأن الوزن والشكل الجسدي. يمكن أن يكون للبوليميا آثار صحية خطيرة على الجسم والنفسية، ومن بينها فقدان الوزن الشديد، اضطرابات الكهرليتات في الجسم، مشاكل في الهضم والجهاز الهضمي، واضطرابات النوم، والاكتئاب، والقلق،والاذى الجسدي،والهلاوس Bulimia also known as bulimia nervosa, is an eating disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of binge eating followed by compensatory behaviors to prevent weight gain. Some common symptoms of bulimia include: 1. Binge eating: Consuming large amounts of food within a short period, feeling a loss of control during these episodes. 2. Purging: Engaging in behaviors to rid the body of consumed food and calories, such as self-induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives or diuretics, or excessive exercise. 3. Preoccupation with body shape and weight: Having an intense fear of gaining weight, and a strong desire to be thin. 4. Self-esteem influenced by body image: A negative body image and low self-esteem are often present in individuals with bulimia. 5. Secrecy and shame: People with bulimia may feel ashamed of their eating behaviors and attempt to hide their symptoms from others. 6. Physical signs: Fluctuations in weight, swollen cheeks or jawline, dental problems (due to exposure to stomach acid during purging), gastrointestinal issues, electrolyte imbalances, and hormonal irregularities.
