Welcome to the Nayang Bat Cave in Cha Am, Thailand! This cave houses MILLIONS of bats who make their way out to forage every evening as the sun is setting. It’s a truly AMAZING spectacle lasting about 20 minutes. It was a short drive from @sosofitelhuahin and the lookout point is actually on the second floor of a local house (we even were treated to fresh coconuts as we watched the show!)
The bats moved in such a beautiful formation. Almost like smoke weaving in and out. This is the kind of stuff I’ve only ever watched on Discovery Channel so to see it live was pretty ridiculous. This happens every single night and the bats usually return just before sunrise at around 6am.
