When i was a kid i didn’t know there was a career out there that could combine my love for science and art so beautifully. Literally no one tells you, you should be a mortician! it’s a career that finds YOU.
In the last 17 years I’ve worked in every aspect of the buisness from removals to embalming, funeral directing, hospice work, doula work and grief work. Right now I work with a company that offers one of the most innovative death care services i’ve seen and i’m on my way to earning my fellow in thanatology. It is one of the greatest honors of my life to care for the dying and their families.

Somewhere along the way my snarly metal faced turned in to these faces as I realized what a gift it was to be up there, living a childhood dream against all odds! That feeling reminds me of our song #Kingpin, an ode to an underdog jockey in their last chance race. @heidithebutcher and i sat and researched horse racing for hours before writing the #kingpin lyrics but as usual we were writing from personal experience as well. Last Monday we saw @kissonline in Chicago FOR THE FINAL TIME for @charbenante birthday. Whenever i see KISS i’m still just a kid singing 🎶gotta lose your mind in detroit 🎶or a teenager blasting Heavens on Firefrom my Ford Tempo 😂Like em or not KISS inspired so many bands to PUT ON A SHOW. Even my band. i was all in my feels watching last week and remembering Butcher Babies first show when our bass player @jasontheallen secretly put blood capsules in his mouth to have his own Gene Simmons Demon moment 👹Thanks for the inspo @kissonline ❤️
