So, I’m a bit of a dreamer 🥴🙈 Before I ever wrote a note for the show, my ultimate dream was to write a huge refrain that included the entire cast. 😂😍 Then before Season 4 even went into pre-production, I’d secretly dreamt one up (called “finish what we started,” which, though it was a totally diff song, may ring a bell…🥹) So when Tim called us from the writers room where they were CURRENTLY WRITING THE SCENE (true story) and asked for a love proclamation/musical conclusion to four seasons of his blood, sweat and tears—oh, and a WHOLE CAST REFRAIN—instead of panicking under the weight of that responsibility, I genuinely had a deadly calm feeling of “this is what I trained for.” 😅 OH—and they needed it in 24 hours. It kinda felt like getting a call from the president…except, y’know, higher emotional stakes. 😂 Matt and I texted a frantic “Zoom in 10” to each other, and I sat down at the piano and SANG before I could get scared.
