The Golden Globe-winning actor @davinejoy joined @emmabarnett in the Woman’s Hour studio on Thursday 💫
She won Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the awards for her portrayal of Mary Lamb in Alexander Payne’s new film The Holdovers.
It’s about a teacher, pupil and head cook who end up spending Christmas together at a New England boarding school in the early 1970s. Mary is grieving the loss of her son, who has been killed in Vietnam.
Da’Vine spoke to Emma about playing the mother and her respect for women like her. She also discussed properly cooking during the filming, and why she decided she had to do it while acting.
