#the100 #Becca and #A.L.I.E ♾ 5 Years ago I was cast to play two apposing forces- two completely different characters that each challenged me in different ways. The 100 was an adventure to say the least- because of this show I was able to travel all over the world- Meet incredible fans and make wonderful life long friends. #Becca my kind hearted gentle genius. She sacrificed her life to save the human race. She took responsibility for her mistakes and tried to right her wrongs. Important Values I instil in my children and I personally live by- Portraying Becca was a lesson in being humane and selfless. #ALIE my purely logical AI – Alie was a robot, programmed to deduce the best way to preserve humanity through algorithms. She did not feel or think – she was not angry or vengeful. Alie was a wonderful/ professional challenge for me. I was Asked to create a typically “ boring, one note” character- and hoped she wouldn’t be boring or one note- I tried to give her “ life”, a presence and a power in simple subtle movements. The process of discovering ALIE was similar to ALIEs process of determining the best plan of action- through algorithms- I asked lots of questions to @rothenberg.jason ( who I drove crazy, I’m sure) and came up with the best logical solution to portray this character. Thank you so much @cw_the100 the @the100writers to all the Producers, amazing Crew and anyone else involved! What a blessing to be a part of this show and to portray two very important pivotal characters! Dear #SagAftraMembers: We are thrilled and proud to tell you that today your TV/Theatrical Negotiating Committee voted unanimously to approve a tentative agreement with the AMPTP. As of 12:01am PT on November 9, our strike is officially suspended and all picket locations are closed. We will be in touch in the coming days with information about celebration gatherings around the country. In a contract valued at over one billion dollars, we have achieved a deal of extraordinary scope that includes “above-pattern” minimum compensation increases, unprecedented provisions for consent and compensation that will protect members from the threat of AI, and for the first time establishes a streaming participation bonus. Our Pension & Health caps have been substantially raised, which will bring much needed value to our plans. In addition, the deal includes numerous improvements for multiple categories including outsize compensation increases for background performers, and critical contract provisions protecting diverse communities. We have arrived at a contract that will enable SAG-AFTRA members from every category to build sustainable careers. Many thousands of performers now and into the future will benefit from this work. Full details of the agreement will not be provided until the tentative agreement is reviewed by the SAG-AFTRA National Board. We also thank our union siblings — the workers that power this industry — for the sacrifices they have made while supporting our strike and that of the Writers Guild of America. We stand together in solidarity and will be there for you when you need us. Thank you all for your dedication, your commitment and your solidarity throughout this strike.
