Oldie but goodie 😂 Talking to my little me and truly listening to what she has to say and discovering her beliefs, fears and needs has been a crucial part of my therapy and healing. The patterns you see in your life usually stem from your childhood. Going back in your mind and sitting with your little one and holding them while they tell you everything that hurts them and scares them is literally invaluable. This information will give you clues that will guide you to the reasons your life looks the way it does today. Sometimes all it takes is holding your little you in your arms while they cry, sometimes it’s going on a walk and playing with them in the rain, realizing that’s all they wanted, but they had too many responsibilities or never felt safe enough to be just a kid. Our subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what we imagine and what is actually happening in front of our eyes, so these techniques are so powerful and you can do them on your own. Just close your eyes and picture yourself at the youngest possible age and see where the little you takes you. As I enter my birthday week 🙌 during which I plan on doing a lot of healing work, I visit with my younger self daily and show her all the amazing things we accomplished together and I ask for her help in achieving so much more by trusting me to take care of her. Remember, there is no past or future in the universe, just now. Yes, our pets are our mirrors and also such great teachers for us. Keanu and I are so similar in a lot of ways. It takes a lot to earn our trust, but once you do, we are yours forever. We don’t jump around begging for attention, because we know our worth, but once you have OUR attention we will love you so fiercely and deeply, you will never be the same…but we are both very selective:-) I’m so happy Keanu chose me to adopt him. Grandma’s advice is the best 😂 Oh, how we love to think that someone is going to change FOR US, because we are so special. Accept them the way they are or move on. Unless someone is already aware of their issues/things that need to change and wants to change for themselves AND is actively working on all of it and doing real deep spiritual work, they will not change. Even when they do the work, it’s a process. Us wanting to change someone comes from desperately grabbing on to what’s good about that person (thinking we probably won’t find someone better which is scarcity mentality, hence should be dealt with on its own) and also a bit of a savior complex, I mean it really feels good to “help” someone and “change their life” (because we know what’s best for them, right?) Also, everyone is on their own journey and just because you show up with all of your awesomeness does not mean they are ready for it or wanna match it. Or maybe their values are completely different, or their way of life. Those are big things and it’s good to see them and acknowledge the differences. So date, have fun if you want to with that person, all while being in full acceptance of who they are, or detach with love. Otherwise you’re going to struggle and be in pain. Have I seen people completely change their lives and themselves because they were inspired by someone? Yes!
