The iconic @jennaleighgreen’s Wicked journey first began on March 9, 2005 when she originated the role of Nessarose on the show’s premiere 2005 First National Tour Company, playing a contract through March 5, 2006.
In addition to starring as Nessarose, Jenna also understudied the role of Elphaba, going on as the not so Wicked Witch on numerous occasions and garnering critical acclaim for both roles.
After originating the role on Tour, Jenna transferred to the show’s Broadway Company, playing the role from March 17, through December 30, 2006.
After playing the role to incredible success across North America and on the Great White Way, Jenna originated the role of Nessarose in her third company: Los Angeles.
Wicked began performances at the historic Hollywood Pantages Theatre on February 10, 2007, becoming the third sit down production to open in the U.S. outside Broadway and Chicago. Jenna finally ended her time in Oz playing her final performance in LA on December 30, 2007. 16 years later she remains one of the show’s most celebrated Nessa’s of all time.
