Jessy Schram Instagram – New Years posting has me feeling the peer pressure- rolling through my videos and photos from ‘23. It was a year so large personally and moved so rapidly, that I documented what I could and then put it all in my pocket. I wanted to keep it close. It had a threading theme of family. Both blood and chosen. I married my love and gained a whole new form of partner in the most subtle and extraordinary way. I experienced a support system and community that humbled me with an obscene amount of joy, unconditional love and disgustingly talented dance moves. There were lessons that were finally learned and healing that finally began. Stunning travel and new friends, as well as a devastatingly long strike and a few months bed rest. And of course, the domestic and international tragedies that our society and world face on a day to day basis. My heart goes out to those whose year brought more grief or harm, than comfort and safety.
I’m glad the peer pressure brought me through my albums- which brought me to the sentimental zone. Which ultimately brought more overwhelm and unfocus on what to share. SO I’m choosing simplicity in the sparkles. And we’ll see what comes next. ✨
