Juliette Lewis Instagram – Remembering Lemmy on the day of his passing… I have a few exceptional experiences with this King. The biggest one was when he invited me to sing back up on the song “Killed by death”. My band played with Motörhead opening for the Foo Fighters in Hyde Park in the UK. (you can have a little YouTube dive and see) I was terrified to be on stage with Motörhead in front of that many people, but that was a time in my life I was on a mission to JUST SAY YES to any soul expanding creative opportunity -fear be damned – so there I was with a nice Brazilian girl (Lemmy’s friend) who coached me along as we scream-sung “Killed by death!” into the microphone in front of 75,000. All you could hear and feel on stage were the buzzing of wall-to-wall Marshall amps. It was a electrifying and I’m sure I left my body as I levitated off the stage. 😃 one of the most amazing things also was how gentlemanly and soft-spoken he was offstage, and the sheer force he was on.
