Laura Gómez Instagram – #Flashback to last year around this time when I was in the midst of recording the Spanish version of the podcast #corinnaandtheking, which did so well in Spain, in spite of mine being a different accent than the one that people are used to over there (kudos to @lacocteleramusic @prxofficial & @project_brazen for proving how well diversity is being received nowadays.) Who made the rules about what sells and what doesn’t, anyhow?! Voice Over work, by the way, has always been something I absolutely love doing, and mind you, an important source of income for many of us actors (another side of this important strike going on with @sagaftra in the US attempting to protect our work in the face of AI impersonation.) Happy Friday everyone! • Un año pasó ya de esa maravillosa etapa en Madrid en que me encontraba grabando la versión en español del podcast #corinnayelrey, que durante semanas se convertiría en Número uno en España, a pesar de que mi acento no sea la norma por allá (mi agradecimiento a @lacocteleramusic @prxofficial y @project_brazen por darme esta oportunidad y demostrar lo bien recibida que está siendo la diversidad hoy en día). El trabajo de locución es algo que disfruto enormemente y es además una importante fuente de ingresos para muchos actores en la industria (otra de las caras de esta importante huelga del gremio de actores #sagaftra en Estados Unidos, que busca también proteger nuestro trabajo de la imitación y posible usurpación de nuestras voces e imagen por la inteligencia artificial). Si no conocen aún este fascinante podcast que es “Corinna y El Rey”, les súper recomiendo que vayan a escuchar en su estación de podcast favorita… Advertencia: sumamente adictivo 🫶🏽
