Relationships, career etc. When you start to realize how inauthentic some things feel, it becomes exhausting to hold onto them any longer. I have been writing songs since I was a little kid and after 25 years of experience, it is still one of my favorite most liberating things in the world to do. Lately I’ve been thinking about creating a course to support others in activating and unlocking their own unique abilities, perspectives and insights through using this powerful tool. Our teachers are teenagers and our teachers are also our own inner teenage parts that never felt safe enough to speak their truth or to be seen in a world that tries to dumb you down and convince you otherwise. So as we learn how to adult ourselves it’s important that we listen to these repressed feelings so that they can come meowt of hiding. Let them be felt, seen and heard.. We are not here to make everyone happy(except our cats) or to do or be what is expected. BOOORRIIING‼️😉 We are here to simply be who we are, allowing ourselves to evolve naturally, becoming aware of being aware and realizing our true eternal essense at the core, remembering that we are already whole as we are. One by one we come out of amnesia, and remember our true identity. It is such a REBEL thing to do, to become conscious of life and to choose to follow our own unique soul paths instead of repeating the sAMe oLD SHit. Stepping into the unknown is uncomfortable af but it’s where our freedom lies. Can’t tame the untamable. 📸 @catielaffoon 💛

Hopefully you can understand what I’m saying here through all of the “uhms” hahah. What i’m trying to say is don’t be intimidated by picking up an instrument.. your playing doesn’t need to be like anyone else’s and there’s really no right or wrong way to play in my opinion. Sometimes the simplest shit is the greatest. I pretty much never know what im going to play when I sit down at the piano or guitar, I just experiment until it feels good

I don’t usually come up with melodies and then write music to it, I’m sure a lot of people do but I’ve most of the time liked having instruments to write melodies to. But, I was humming this melody and some of y’all had asked about writing music to melodies in ur head, and it got me curious how I would approach it. So here’s me figuring out putting music to a melody. Hopefully this inspires somebody out there:)

Here is the 1st release of a few songs I did with @cardboardsessions ~this was such an epic day playing the most beautiful instruments made of cardboard.
