Today I’m out on the road just like the day I found out he had passed. I find myself musing about how I’m still traveling a path he inspired me to set foot on long ago. I’m thinking about how much I miss singing with him, and how much I learned from him. Also about how when you lose both parents it’s easy to feel a bit like an orphan, a little more exposed to the hard edge of this world. Anyway, back to these wonderful folks. We started the year with the country cruise in January and went out with a bang and grooving good time in Wilmington NC.
I can’t wait to reconvene early next year and build on the repertoire we’ve started.
