Rebecca Flint Instagram – a quick trip to Florence to see the location of a very famous piece 🔎

I love Zoffany’s Tribuna of the Uffizi… this painting was considered gratuitous and grotesque in its excess, but for me I love the inception and the maximalism. It’s such an iconic and memorable piece, but did you know it’s based on a real collection and a real place?

The octagonal room in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence is the very same location which is captured in this piece! And can you recognise any of those tiny painstakingly painted paintings too?

It was ambitious to not only paint at your own level of skill, but also to emulate the skilled paintings of others, it makes my mind spin 😵‍💫

Being a featured artist on @area11 incredible album all those years ago was such an honour, and earlier this year it was even more of a privilege to join them on stage to sing our song together Shi No Barado in London for their tour 🎤 !!

This was a huge test for my confidence but I was so proud and pleased to be able to do it plus I had my friends supporting at my side! 🫶 and an amazing crowd singing all the words with me 😭

I’ll be joining them again THIS SATURDAY in Leeds 📍 @area11 for the last tickets left! 🌌
