Some love for the incredible privilege of playing Moiraine Damodred in @thewheeloftime . @rafejudkins changed the arc of Moiraine’s journey in the novels to explore the humanity underneath the Aes Sedai. What happens when someone with a cause for which they are prepared to die loses their greatest weapon in the fight? In this case : access to the One Power. We see through Season 2 Moiraine’s vulnerability, her pride, her refusal to trust. We also see the extent of her bravery. Episode 8 of Season 2 explores the feeling when accesss to the power is restored, and we see the intoxicating rush of channelling again; we also see an apology made to the person who withstood every attempt to push them away, and selflessly worked to solve the mystery @danielhenney as #lanmandragoran . @sharon_gilham_costume_design came up with a stunning final outfit for Moiraine, with a beautiful nod to the shoulders of her iconic bolero in Season 1, this time worked in lace on a beautiful blouse by @karenbob73 . This costume gave me the fluidity of movement I needed for this final epic channelling moment, and felt pure Aes Sedai. Everything Moiraine has is pushed to the limit in her fight to stop the Dragon being shielded by the Seanchan Army and turned to the dark

I felt, as I have felt before, lucky to have a seat at the table, lucky to be in a room of my peers, lucky to get the chance to be in the company of creative innovators who work in all departments of the film industry. This dress ! 2019 @dior Haute Couture by @mariagraziachiuri. The net chemise was remade for me by a relocated atelier brought here to LA from Paris… this dress is structured and soft, it floats and yet holds its shape. It is exquisite. Hair by my friend and collaborator @davidebarbieri_ inspired by the appliqué flowers on the dress and the chemise. Hat by the miraculous @philiptreacy who can float dreams and stories atop people’s heads. Makeup by @melaniemakeup complimenting the mystery of the veils. Styling by @leithclark We all spent the day feeling inspired and there was an air of enchantment . Thank you @prosper_pr for making it all so special.
