Ruth Negga Instagram – It’s exhausting still waking up to news like this… Waking up to the mournful messages of another Black life… Brazenly gone. People not taking a second to step back and recognize that there is a mentally disabled human in front of them. A human that already had to live a lifetime of just trying to survive.
We must normalize speaking on mental health issues and utilize a truly empathetic approach in our societies.
We must continue to advocate for the well-being and safety of those who cannot do it for themselves.
If we stay silent, we are further stifling the protection of those communities who need it most.
The death of innocent Black lives cannot stay the norm, especially the lives of the disabled.
