happy hummpppp day😋🍑 today’s #workoutWednesday is a full body burn with an emphasis on the triceps and the backs of the arms. Repeat this circuit 3x: 1) curtsy lunge lateral raises — keep your palms facing behind you for these, that will help target the backs of the arms and shoulders. Step one leg out to the side and bring the other leg behind you into a curtsy lunge as you lower the legs. Once you’re low, lift your weights to shoulder height, arms straight and palms facing backwards. Then repeat on the other side. That is considered one repetition. Do 8-12. 2) tricep pulses — lean your torso forward while in a lunge. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and face your palms backwards as you lift your arms straight up and behind you. Squeeze your triceps at the top. Return to your arms down and repeat 6-10 times while lunging on one leg, then repeat the same number of pulses while lunging with the other leg. 3) tricep extension squat — sit low into a wide legged squat, while holding your dumbbells together, arms straight overhead. As you stand up from your squat, lower your weights behind your head, bending your elbows. Slowly lift the weights back up and squeeze your triceps, before repeating the exercise. Back from the holiday break with a body-weight booty burner!! 🍑😅 but first— I’m taking on new personal training clients! I specialize in women’s fitness so DM me ladies if you want to get in better shape💪🏼🙌🏼 For today’s #workoutwednesday , repeat this circuit 3x: 1) knee hike — with one knee on the ground and the other in front with the foot on the ground, press into that front foot as you stand up and hike that back knee up to your chest. Return to starting position with your back knee on the ground and repeat on that leg 8-12 times before switching to the other leg for the same number of reps. 2) lunge rear lift — start in a lunge with your front leg bent and your back leg straight. Press into that front foot as you lift your back leg up, squeezing that booty cheek. Return to starting position and repeat 10-16 times on one leg, before switching to the other side. 3) fire hydrant donkey kick — on all fours, lift one leg out to the side, keeping it bent at the knee at 90 degrees, for a fire hydrant (like a dog peeing on a fire hydrant😂). Bring that leg back to center and then lift it behind for a donkey kick. Squeeze your peach with each lift! Do 8-12 on one side before switching to the other. To make these exercises harder, try using ankle weights! Regardless, keep increasing your reps until you feel a good burn. it’s another #workoutWednesday friends! Today’s #workout targets #hips and #booty . You can use a band if you have one but if not, this circuit will still give you a burn if you work til you feel the #burn. Repeat this #circuit 3x: 1) glute bridge hip opener — lying on your back with the soles of your feet on the ground, knees up, place the band around your knees. Lift your hips and squeeze your booty into a glute bridge, as you open and close your knees at the top. Return to starting position and repeat 8 to 12 times or until you feel the burn. 2) banded lateral leg lift — lie on your side with your legs stacked on top of each other and the band around your ankles. Keep your legs straight and your feet flexed as you lift the top leg up as high as you can return to starting position. Repeat 12 to 20 times on one side before doing the same on the other. 3) banded vertical butterfly legs — lie on the ground with your legs, straight up in the air and the band around your ankles. Flex your feet and open your legs as wide as they go before bringing them back to center. Repeat opening and closing your legs for 30 to 60 seconds. Comment and share if you like this! happy #workoutWednesday ! Today’s circuit targets lower body using a kettle bell (but dumbbells work well here too). Repeat this circuit 3x: 1) weighted squat— focus here on proper form with your feet wider than your hips, keeping your weight in your heels as you bend your knees and lower. Make sure your knees are not knocking inward or moving further forward than your big toes as you squat down. Do 8-12 reps, or until you feel the 🔥 2) Romanian deadlift— make sure you’re in a proper stance with your feet hip width apart, slight bend in the knees, hips back. Hinge slowly at your waist and lower your torso over towards the ground, keeping your back straight, core engaged. As you raise back up, shift your hips forward and squeeze that booty! Repeat 8-12 times or until you feel the burn. 3) single legged deadlift— let one leg hang off the ground as you slightly bend the standing leg. Hold the dumbbell in the same hand as that standing leg. Keep your torso tight and straight, hinge at the hips and lean forward, letting your arm and kettle bell hang as dead weight as you reach over to the ground. Raise back up and repeat 8 times on one leg.
