This Christmas Eve is a time to reflect – it’s been a tough year but we have proven we are tougher.
Mr Barkley, Maui (Darren behind the camera as always) and I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
Thank you for all the love, support and comments this year. I read them all and respond to as many as possible.
I have particularly appreciated the advice about my perimenopause roller coaster, the highs and lows of running your own business and the outpouring of love when Bella passed away.
What you see is what you get with me. Raw and real. Sometimes tears and sometimes TV glam.
My Instagram is not a highlights reel selling a fake perfect life.
But it’s my life and I love it. I love my husband and I love my rescue pups.

Are you afraid of public speaking? What holds you back?
New Year’s Resolutions don’t work. But each year I have chosen a word to guide my year.
Previous words like SOAR, COURAGE and MONEY, have helped set my intentions and served me well.
This year I would like to make some internal changes. While I like that I am empathetic, bubbly and kind – I don’t like that I am a workaholic, control freak, perfectionist. So my word for 2024 is FLOW.
I want to be in the FLOW of work, enjoying what comes in but not desperately pushing for more.
FLOW when it comes to my health and the time it needs for gentle exercise and healing.
Enjoy the FLOW of my business and relishing the busy times and not panicking in the slow times.
Embracing the FLOW and gentler pace of living in paradise.
Appreciate the FLOW of my happy home with my incredible husband and loveable furkids.
And of course enjoy the FLOW of our jacuzzi!

Homemade pesto!
Using my basil bounty and discovering I actually like it!
Ingredients
2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
10 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1.5 cup toasted pine nuts
2 big teaspoons minced garlic
Salt and pepper
Blitz it all and enjoy!

The key to golf is consistency and I play consistently – once a year.
