Shoniqua Shandai Instagram – What a year it has been???! I danced with my heroes on the NAACP stage while dressed like a Queen. Angela Basset said my name. 🤯 I starred in a movie and worked with legendary artists and creatives! 🙏🏿 I partied with my childhood crush in Jamaica, spoke about self love and empowerment to black women in Europe. I sang a song I wrote to a audience filled with Deltas ❣️❤️🔥 in Pittsburgh, went on a solo trip in London & binged West End Theatre, and witnessed the brilliance of Usher, Beyonce(x2) and Mary J Blige in concert. This face and body was on the cover of digital and paper magazines, buses, billboards; walked NY Fashion Week; and danced on an NAACP award winning daytime talk show! There were so many blessings I can’t count them all but I’m most grateful for creating a home for myself. Those of you that have been watching my stories know I’ve been painting for months and I’m still not done 🤣🤣🤣🫣, but it’s been such a pleasure to create a space for myself. I spent a good part of childhood in and out of shelters and I grew up always feeling like my home was temporary. So taking up space in my own dwelling is a newer experience. Creating this home space in a brand new city while building relationships with beautiful black women that are encouraging, affirming, high vibrational, and SOCIAL! Honey they are dragging my hermit behind outside and it’s been the highlight of my year. So excited to see all that 2024 has in store because 2023 was THAT GIRL!
