Sierra Boggess Instagram – Mary Cycowski came-of-age as a gentile in 1930’s Germany. She would have been safe from the Nazis had she not broken the law by falling in love with Roman Cycowski, a Polish Jewish man and member of the Comedian Harmonists. Despite threats and pressures from all around her, Mary stood by her baritone and married him. Their romantic flame would not be extinguished by the horrors of the Third Reich. Together, they emigrated to the United States and for more than sixty years they loved and supported one another. Her courage in the face of prejudice and her unwavering strength to overcome all obstacles, prove that true love really does exist. Mary passed away more than twenty years ago, but today she is brought to life on the stage by the inimitable Sierra Boggess.
