I think all of us would have brought something from Nalli during our childhood. La ? 🥹
Shopping for fabrics was so joyful & in no time our eyes fell on a pure hand-woven brocade silk fabric. I turned towards for her approval and she came up with something so thoughtful. She said we can use this same fabric for my lehenga and Raja's jacket. 🫶🏼 I fell for it! ❤️
Next up was scouting a fabric for my top and we found a beautiful pink!
Our forever favourite @fiorebymalar_ worked along with our Pavi for days together for this outfit that I dreamt myself in everyday until the big day. It was a sure head turner for me as well when I had the first look at the whole outfit. Don't you feel the same? 🥰

No Diwali parties but a day full of Gratitude, love and blessings. 🫶🏼💫 From waking up to the sounds of birds to oil baths, pooja, rituals, Amma appa aasirvaatham, oru cute outfit check, our fav veetu breakfast Idly Karikolambu, and car rides with our fav Harris playlist 🎼 the day started with a happy vibe. 😍 When everyone kept asking about our thala Diwali plans, I legit had no idea except one. @raja_vetri_prabhu_ RVP has been my light through the darkness and on this first Diwali of ours, we wanted to be that light for someone else. 🫶🏼 “Avanidame Avanidame enadhu kanavai anuppu” 🥹🎵 Raja has never been used to all these so far, whereas on the other side, I have been part of celebrations like this on festivals. So I made sure, our thala Diwali should be celebrated this way giving Raja a new experience as well. And after a whole beautiful day we spent, when he posted a story yesterday saying “Thanks for showing me the other side of life and making it so worth it” this is what he meant, and we know we did the right thing on the right day! I’ve always been so good with kids but I was a little doubtful whether raja would love this idea or be comfortable around them. 🫂 But seeing him have a great time with these God’s special kids and have a easy and effortless bond with them made me so happy and special that I’ve got a partner who prioritises THIS > over all kinds of celebrations. He once again showed me that I made the right choice by choosing someone who’s going to blindly trust me and our principles forever. >>> After a hearrtful time with the kids and elders we ended our day with a peaceful kovil darshanam, thanking God for everything he’s bestowed upon us along with a kutty car drive and a kutty night walk. 👫 We still can’t believe how beautifully the day unfolded for us, for our first Diwali together. During my engagement preparations, I was so keen to twin with Popsie for the big day and took so many pinterest reference images to click images with her but in reality nothing actually worked as Madam was way tired,sleepy and almost cranky 😅 after every event but this chithi’s heart couldn’t let it go and somehow wanted to do a shoot with her in all her outfits so it’ll be a memory for both of us forever. 🥹 I somehow figured out a casual day when she was in her best mood and shot some interesting pictures with her on our Motta Maadi (the same place where Popsie and I have played and had immense fun). Caption : A simple yet kyoot thala pongal 🫶🏼🥰 Have you guys ever been in a phase where you kept running and juggling between work and never had the time to spend with family? And on one day you decide to keep everything aside and be with them. No project, no work, or no amount of money will seem important to you that day. Our Thala Pongal was that day to us! 🥹 From the morning car drive to chamathu ah dressing up in traditional(I was styled by my MIl so extra happy hehe) to cooking pongal to the pooja to keeping food for the crows to eating the pongal made by us with simple breakfast made at home to spending heartfelt time with our family, it was a wholesome day with lots of kutty kutty moments to cherish. ❤️ As someone who grew up in apartments, I was always used to celebrating Pongal the ‘Very simple Kitchen’ way. This time for our thala Pongal, I got to experience the traditional way of celebrating with big kolams and decorations at the front door, especially varagu adupu la pongal panrathu. Tasted Yummmyyy max & I enjoyed every bit of doing it. Ofcourse my pro-MIL helped me with every step. 😌 I’m sure many of you guys would have seen my parents more often in this space & I don’t think any of you would have got to see RVP’s family. It was my day! 🙈😩 But somehow the timing I was supposed to be ready was mis-communicated to me and your D was ready by 3:00 AM on the day of muhurtam. Yes, fully dolled up. Epudi 😎 After all the events that was filled with laughter I hadn’t slept a bit there previous night & I got ready that early only to see that no one even had woken up. 🤨 I went around all the rooms to wake up every single person and finally reached Raja’s room to find him sleeping deep. In fact it was I who woke him up fully dressed up for the day as his bride🫶🏼🧿 Yes. It was me , the “WIFE-to be”. It was my face that RAJA woke up to, on 22.5.23 😭❤️ ( CORE MEMORY) One of a kind and once in a lifetime most tensed morning that reminded me of all the traditional weddings I’ve witnessed in cinema and how much I had manifested for mine to have a touch of everything,came true eventually! That morning was more like a wedding that would take place in a village and the whole family comes over, goes around the streets, gets everyone ready and finally the marriage happens. It was THAT! Caption : POV: Finding solace in the calmness surrounded by a walking green flag 🫶🏼🤍 Even though it’s been more thane two weeks since our wedding, it still feels unreal because our bond as best friends remains unchanged. We have never spent a whole 24 hours together, but today having him constantly by my side, and sharing my room 😅 feels different in the most beautiful way imaginable, and I’ve grown to treasure and cherish his presence and enjoy it with each passing day. Caption : #Weddinglookbook Kerala themed Engagement (5/5) 💕✨ After that breathtaking lehenga, it was time to change for “Ring Exchange” 💍 and we had no heart to change the mood board and color palette for the second outfit! But wanted a quick changeover and went for this pleasantly beautiful gold saree that had a blush pink border adorned with motifs of the tree of life from @muhurth.brand ❤️ We looked into 50+ sarees from multiple brands but my heart said “Go for this” RVP approved too! 🫶🏼 The saree by itself was a beauty and just to add some grace to it we went on to experiment with blouse designs. That’s exactly when @d.sign.d came in and gave us a lot of ideas & finally our choice was this blouse with intricate embroidery that added a hint of simplicity, sophistication and tradition to the overall look❤️ Nextuhhhh….Jewelsuhh😌 Our pro stylist @artra_styling suggested to go for a bright temple look jewelery with bright red stones and emeralds to amp up the saree and I abided by it only to find the perfectly looking set from @vriksham that definitely added the touch of gorgeousness. ✨ Oh yes, for my groom! 🫶🏼 Raja wanted the changeover for the ring exchange to be simple. He preferred a “Veshti” and our stylish gave us the choice of pairing it with a Kurta in the same golden shade. As always, his silk veshti and his silk fabric for the kurta were picked from Nalli! We took it all to our Malar Akka @fiorebymalar_ and she made the kurta that looked so good on him! 🥺🫶🏼 Like I said he wanted minimal dress up and just went ahead with his chain and bracelet only! That’s exactly when @d.sign.d came in and gave us a lot of ideas & finally our choice was this blouse with intricate embroidery that added a hint of simplicity, sophistication and tradition to the overall look❤️ Nextuhhhh….Jewelsuhh😌 Our pro stylist @artra_styling suggested to go for a bright temple look jewelery with bright red stones and emeralds to amp up the saree and I abided by it only to find the perfectly looking set from @vriksham that definitely added the touch of gorgeousness. ✨ Oh yes, for my groom! 🫶🏼 Raja wanted the changeover for the ring exchange to be simple. He preferred a “Veshti” and our stylish gave us the choice of pairing it with a Kurta in the same golden shade. As always, his silk veshti and his silk fabric for the kurta were picked from Nalli! Caption : POV: We waited for something that we knew we deserved, despite the numerous shortcuts that were in front of us, untouched. 🤞 25.09.2023 – We (RVP & D ) got verified officially and all our consistent hard work, passion, love for the work we do and all the efforts we’ve been putting forth all these years, made sense a little ❤️ This moment feels so dreamy, surreal and emotional more than we have ever thought of and our hearts are so full of love & gratitude. A few years ago- “ before it was accessible”, I remember counting all my press features one by one and waiting for that moment when I’d finally be eligible and earn the blue tick! Of course, the paid aspect of it disappointed me a a tad bit yet this human right beside me trusted in me than I did. He asked me to have patience and wait. Yeah that’s what he is. He said, “Nee onnum keka vendaam. Avangley kudupaanga for all the work you do.” And that same human actually got verified 5 minutes earlier than me. 🥹 And this is what I’d like to call “GOALS.” #touchwood 🧿 Together in everything hand in hand! And we found people who were as happy as we were. (And that’s why we knew they were a part of our journey). The moment we decided to have our Engagement depicting Kerala, we were sure to have our outfits reflecting their culture in a unique way that would speak D & RVP.
Stylist pavi @artra1210 to our rescue and she quickly narrowed down to the mood boards of Ravivarman paintings.
That was it!
The next morning we found ourselves at @nallisilksarees since it is an emotion in Chennai, a brand that is known for hand woven silks with the authenticity and quality.
I think all of us would have brought something from Nalli during our childhood. La ? 🥹
Shopping for fabrics was so joyful & in no time our eyes fell on a pure hand-woven brocade silk fabric. I turned towards for her approval and she came up with something so thoughtful. She said we can use this same fabric for my lehenga and Raja's jacket. 🫶🏼 I fell for it! ❤️
Next up was scouting a fabric for my top and we found a beautiful pink!
Our forever favourite @fiorebymalar_ worked along with our Pavi for days together for this outfit that I dreamt myself in everyday until the big day. It was a sure head turner for me as well when I had the first look at the whole outfit. Don't you feel the same? 🥰
While Raja wanted his outfit to be subtle & minimal we went on shop a nice Kurta set from @myntra and paired it along with the jacket designed by Pavi (@artra1210 ) and made by Malar akka. ( @fiorebymalar_ )
My jewellery from @rimliboutique and Raja's shoes from @lifestylestores added some more charm to the whole ensemble!!
