Chris Burkard Instagram – These are the images I normally DON’T share on social media… but behind all of my favorite adventure, passion projects are also commercial shoots. Passion projects don’t always pay the bills and as a freelancer, you take on work that isn’t necessarily the most inspiring to keep your business alive & feed your family – I still do to this day. Chris Burkard Instagram – I heard someone say recently that when we invest in the natural world, it doesn’t give back to us in monetary ways but offers returns that are far more valuable & regenerative to the mind & body than money could ever be… and I couldn’t agree more. Whether you’re drawn to a quick ray of sunshine in your backyard or a multi-day expedition to the Aleutian islands.. I think it’s important to pause for a moment and listen to that call from nature and make the time in our lives to answer. Flipping through the archives from this particular expedition in 2019 for @roark brings out that feeling in me… a sort of ache for the unknown and inspiration for discomfort that leads to a kind of beauty & self reflection only harsh places like these provide. @natezoller @parkercoffin @harrisonsan @_ryanhill_ @roark
