First time I was able to watch a live episode with my folks. Unfortunately, it turns out to be the last time as well. Thanks to the entire #the100 family for an incredible run. This is Monty Green, signing off. May we meet again.
A weekend with @tasyateles … #SoDepressedWhenItsOver #ozcomiccon
Times Square. New Year’s Eve. 2008. My fellow classmate / roommate @johnny_deluca and I are living up in Washington Heights. We’re both theater majors. We’re often dead broke. To make ends meet, John works as a waiter in Columbus Circle. I work as a doorman in Times Square (arguably the last place you want to be on New Year’s Eve). Since I can’t get out of my shift, John hops the A train from 181st to 42nd to keep me company. The streets have been barricaded. Security is tight. I construct a fake letter on hotel stationary stating Mr. DeLuca is a guest. I run it by 2 cops…and it works. We make our way to the top floor where a crowd has gathered. Management has refused access to the roof. It’s perfectly safe, but the powers-that-be won’t budge. Guests have paid top dollar to be blocks away from the action. To watch the ball drop from the greatest location imaginable. Needless to say, but everyone is pissed. Like the complete morons that we still are to this day, John and I lead the entire gang to the roof. We unlock the door. We ascend the stairs. We count down from ten. We’re handed champagne. We have no idea who it’s from. We throw it back anyway. This photo gets taken. It’s now past midnight. A new day. A new year. We head down to the lobby so I can clock out, and then we take the A train back home. Happy birthday, brother. We’ve seen each other through a lot of highs and lows since then. And there’s plenty more to come. Plenty of highs. Plenty of lows. Let’s keep seeing each other through.
This is my father’s high school senior portrait circa 1970. Happy Birthday, Dad. Still as dapper now as you were back then.

Group 2: The amount of talent in this room is staggering. You all made Lima feel like home for the last month. It’s been an honor rehearsing with you @spotlightperu.
Group 1: I learned so much from this class that I often forgot who was teaching who. Will miss sharing space with you all @spotlightperu.
Citizens of Los Angeles: Meet Rosdely Ciprian. She is currently starring in ‘What the Constitution Means to Me’ by @heidischreck at the Mark Taper Forum. I saw her in this play at the New York Theatre Workshop back in 2018, and was fortunate enough to watch her reprise this role opening night here in LA. Please do yourselves a favor and go check out this incredible performer in this incredible play before it leaves town. @just.rosdely @ctgla

“The Happiest Album Ever Made” is out in the world (link in bio). Name your price. Thanks for listening. Much love to @marieavgeropoulos for being the first to spread the word. Looks like 5 years of “I. Am. Avgeropoulos.” finally paid off.
When your partner writes on an awesome new show, you should probably join them for the New York premiere and promote the hell out of it. The entire first season of #mrandmrssmith is out today on Amazon. Congrats to @f__sloane, @carlaching and the entire team for bringing this thing to life.

‘Han’ is now out in the world. These songs were created in solitude, but I never could have finished them on my own. Endless thanks to @lohariel for mixing & mastering this album. To @pjcartwright for his brilliant string arrangement on the title track, and to @rorowan for their equally brilliant cello work on ‘Virginia.’ And to @annahfeinberg for designing the album cover, front and back. There would be no vinyl without you. A giant thank you to Michelle Zauner of @jbrekkie for her album ‘June.’ It’s entirely because of you that I decided to write and record a song every day for the months of August 2020 & March 2021, along with the first week of May ‘21. Every track on this album was inspired by your process. It was the one shining light I had during the height of the pandemic, and I’m eternally grateful to you for that. Thank you to @carlaching for always being my first listener, whether you want to be or not. The poorly soundproofed walls of our home keep you in lockstep with, if not every note, more of them than you’d probably prefer. I appreciate you not throwing me, my guitar and/or my shitty USB microphone out the window. And finally, thank you to anyone who gives this album a listen. This entire journey ends with you. I hope you find it one worth taking.
“Han” is the second single off the new Carry Hatchet album of the same name, out on October 10th. Thanks to @anotherjackiechung, @louisozawa, @akwaschke, @themightymos, @paumalouz & @daniel_louzau for letting me spend the day with Willow Ufgood, Gus & Atticus, good dogs all.
I chose to press some vinyl for ‘Han.’ It’s the first time I’ve ever held a physical copy of an album of mine. After pre-sales, there are only 18 copies left. Thank you to everyone who has purchased a record. I’ll gladly print more if need be. Two days and counting…
