Dan Crenshaw Instagram – Two years ago I released a documentary recapping my recent visit to the southern border, highlighting the crisis at hand. When this documentary was created, Border Patrol agents detained nearly 100,000 migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border in February 2021 — marking the highest total for the month of February in 15 years. Just this January we saw more than 176,000 migrant encounters, breaking yet another record. In this clip I highlight the part of illegal immigration that’s not talked about enough — how the cartels benefit from all of it. The cartels have operational control of the border and make billions through smuggling migrants. Just this last August @bmelugin33 interviewed a migrant who paid cartels $10,000 to cross the border illegally. That’s pure cartel money.
