This one felt good. As I mentioned in my last post the past two days were not going well but today we all pulled it together and took 5th place. From P15 on the grid to crossing the line in P5, Daniel Wu and Tazio Ottis had quite a debut in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. A top 5 finish for the No. 73 GoldenTV Honda Civic TCR certainly feels like a podium to this team after limited track time and thrashing through multiple gremlins the past few days. Everyone kept their heads down and stayed positive, and the hard work paid off in spades with our final result. We’re super proud to finish as the top Honda in a competitive field.
We’ll be back at Mid-Ohio in May for another shot at the podium.

Grammy’s with the fam and friends on a super rainy night. It was a mission getting in and out of there that definitely made for a memorable evening.

Daytona has been tough so far. Stepping up to this level of racing certainly has been challenging. We got off to a bad start yesterday with mechanical issues and rain cutting down most of our practice time. I only got two laps in the car and was way off pace. Today was better (despite sliding off the dewy track on cold tires)as I slowly got comfortable in the car and with the track but still a bit off pace. Which lead to a not so great qualifying time that put us to the very back of the grid. Tomorrow we have one more short practice before the race so I will just have to continue learning as I go! Hopefully I make the necessary improvements in race.
