Daryl hits the front.
Ricky opened with an 86 checkout, but missed on the doubles allowed Gurney to break and lead 2-1. Evans swiftly broke back with a ten-darter, but a nerveless 164 finish gave Daryl the set.

It’s Daryl that takes the win in the MDA Derby.
A 130 checkout secured a break of throw in set six, and put Gurney on the brink of victory at 2-0 up in the set, but he missed a match dart to let Ricky back in, but a leg later Daryl took out 84 to seal victory.
It’ll be Dave Chisnall in the last 16 for Superchin.

Sadly it’s defeat for Daryl, as Chisnall enjoys a strong sixth set.
It’s been a cracking tournament for Superchin, with plenty of positives to take.

Daryl takes the first set to the last leg, but it’s chizzy that takes out 74 to nick it.
So today is the day!
I play against Ricky in the last match of the evening session tonight at Ally Pally.
Ricky is someone I obviously know very well, and I’m sure we’ll bring out the best in each other.

A 121 finish for Daryl was followed by a break of throw, and although Ricky took out 100 and 72 to level, a timely 180 from Gurney and an 86 finish squared the match.

A clean sweep on set four, as Daryl takes out 151 to seal the set.

Gerwyn Price has withdrawn from this weekend’s Cazoo Masters, and Daryl has been called up as his replacement for the tournament!
Daryl will play either Joe Cullen or Josh Rock in round two on Saturday afternoon.

The pair combined to miss over a dozen darts for the set, and chizzy doubled his advantage.
