Came home after being away for a bit and he wanted to play through Für Elise for me and show me how far he’s gotten. I love that he still loves piano and that he cares about it. Because of him, I’m trying to work through and memorize the Bach Fugue in C major. #kidsmakeusbetter

Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom. Always smiling. Always curious. Always kind–she looked for good things in the world and she found them. A nurse who worked off and on during my childhood, a musician who played organ at church. A great baker (let’s leave aside her cooking). Here with my Dad–her favorite fella.
