Hans Zimmer Instagram – Percussion is an essential component of the #HansZimmerLive band, and we’re blessed to have two badass drummers at the heart of it. For our next edition of Meet the Band, I’m highlighting @aichadrums and @hollymadgedrums! 🥁 Aicha and Holly might play in unison, but they are very distinct musicians. Aicha hails from Halsted, Essex and joined her first (punk) rock band called Stress at the age of 12. She was playing in clubs she was too young to get into for many years, ended up studying drumming at university in London and graduating with first class honors. Holly got her first drum kit when she was 10 and fell in love with it. She jammed with the teenage fusion funk band Melonious Funk on the rooftops of seaside pubs, and ended up getting a first-class degree in music from Southampton University. Both Holly and Aicha first played with the @hanszimmerlive band in 2014, and we realized our percussion would never be the same if they weren’t part of it!
